WL-Netguard

Developed in association with West Lothian Council to provide on-line safety for the looked after children of WLC. WL-Netguard is unique as the system allows you to create individual user profiles for children and adults of all ages within a secure system.

WL-Netguard is managed centrally via the social policy helpdesk and allows departments that deal with the safeguarding of children to meet and exceed all current government legislation and best practice guidelines.

Due to the sensitive nature of the groups we work with it is essential that monitoring of the system is provided on a 24/7 basis, social policy specialists monitor the system and to date have encountered instances of bullying, on-line grooming and predatory behaviour, just to name a few.

Unfortunately, this kind of behaviour on-line is now commonplace and the WL-Netguard helpdesk specialists are trained to deal with issues that may arise and are experienced with dealing with all vulnerable groups in social care.
